Author Data Rights

Transparency and cooperation with authors and publishers.

AgileKaizen is committed to maintaining an open, ethical, and respectful relationship with authors, publishers, and content owners. This policy explains how we manage author-related data, attribution, and removal requests.

1. Purpose

The purpose of this policy is to ensure that every author or publisher whose work appears in AgileKaizen's index can understand, verify, and, if necessary, request changes to how their information or materials are represented. Our goal is to strengthen author visibility, not to replicate or replace original publications.

2. What Author Data We Store

AgileKaizen stores only metadata necessary for correct attribution and source linking. This may include:

  • Author name(s) as published with each resource. When multiple versions of an author's name exist, AgileKaizen uses the most verifiable and consistent form for attribution.
  • Source URL and publication domain.
  • Public author or organization URLs included within the original publication.
  • Public social or website links found on the author's own pages (e.g., Medium, Substack, or personal sites).
  • Public profile image links or brief biographical text, only when published by the author on publicly accessible pages. AgileKaizen does not host or reproduce profile images locally; where possible, such references link directly to the source domain.

All author-related data are obtained from publicly available sources and used solely for attribution and verification purposes. AgileKaizen does not reproduce or display personal information beyond what is necessary for proper credit and source transparency.

AgileKaizen does not scrape or extract personal data from social networks. Public professional identifiers such as LinkedIn, GitHub, Medium or Substack URLs are referenced only when the author has voluntarily made them publicly available and directly linked them to their professional publications. No hidden, private, or membership-restricted information is accessed or stored.

3. How We Use Author Data

Author metadata is used exclusively to:

  • Attribute each work to its rightful creator or publisher and maintain traceable links to the original source.
  • Ensure accurate author recognition across related resources and publications.
  • Improve knowledge mapping and the discoverability of high-quality professional content.
  • Support research and curation processes that rely on correct attribution and context.

Public interfaces display author information only when the author has made it publicly available or has granted permission for its inclusion. AgileKaizen follows a privacy-by-default approach: only essential attribution (author name) is shown unless the author has clearly published or consented to share further details. Internal checks and automated consistency rules help ensure data accuracy and attribution reliability before any display. AgileKaizen does not use author data for marketing, advertising, or commercial redistribution.

4. Requests for Correction or Removal

Authors or their authorized representatives may request the correction or removal of an indexed entry by contacting data@agilekaizen.com. Requests must include:

  • The URL of the resource or author profile in question
  • Proof of authorship or representation, if applicable
  • A brief explanation of the requested change or reason for removal

All verified requests are reviewed promptly and handled in accordance with GDPR and applicable international privacy laws. To protect author integrity, AgileKaizen may require reasonable identity verification before processing a request or disclosing any related data. AgileKaizen will confirm the outcome once the request has been processed.

5. Data Accuracy and Updates

AgileKaizen periodically reviews and updates author metadata through automated checks and verified public sources. Authors may also submit corrections or updated information at any time by contacting data@agilekaizen.com. All submitted updates are verified for accuracy before being reflected in the index.

6. Intellectual Property and Attribution

All intellectual property rights remain with the original authors and publishers. AgileKaizen acts solely as an indexer and reference engine. Our systems may generate AI-assisted metadata, summaries, or contextual insights derived from publicly accessible materials. These outputs are analytical and transformative, created to improve knowledge discovery and research — never to substitute or replicate original works. Public professional identifiers (e.g., LinkedIn, GitHub, Medium URLs) are used only for author identification and attribution, are not displayed publicly, and are not used for profiling or outreach. AgileKaizen never reproduces, redistributes, or replaces original works, and all references link directly to their canonical sources. This principle applies equally to AI-generated summaries and derivative metadata.

7. Privacy by Default

AgileKaizen applies a privacy-by-design and privacy-by-default approach to all author data. Attribution is based solely on information that authors have made publicly available through their own channels - such as professional websites, Medium or Substack pages, or equivalent sources. When multiple sources reference the same author name or identifier, our systems may algorithmically associate those records to improve attribution accuracy. These associations rely exclusively on publicly available metadata, are never used for personal profiling, and are periodically validated for accuracy. Public interfaces display only essential attribution (author name) and never include images, biographies, or personal data unless such information has been explicitly published or verified by the author. This approach maintains an appropriate balance between professional recognition and individual privacy.
