Data & Rights
AgileKaizen indexes professional knowledge to make expertise easier to find, understand, and credit - always linking to the original source and upholding author and publisher rights.
AgileKaizen is committed to supporting authors and publishers by improving visibility, attribution, and long-term access to high-quality professional knowledge.
1. Our Purpose
AgileKaizen is a research and data initiative that maps publicly available professional learning resources - such as articles, papers, podcasts, and videos - across domains like management, technology, and innovation. Our goal is to organize knowledge responsibly, making discovery transparent and traceable to its origin.
2. What We Collect
We identify and temporarily copy publicly available materials to extract information such as title, author, publication date, source URL, and subject metadata. During this step, an internal plain-text version is created to remove layout or advertising elements and is stored securely for reference and analysis only.
"Publicly available" refers to materials that can be accessed on the open web without login or technical circumvention. AgileKaizen may also catalogue resources that are restricted by subscription or paywall; in such cases only metadata and lawful analytical outputs are stored, and full content remains accessible solely through the publisher's platform under the user's or AgileKaizen's own subscription rights.
3. How We Process Data
The extracted text is used exclusively to generate metadata - including topic tags, categories, and relevance indicators - which allow accurate indexing and search. Original full texts are not displayed, redistributed, or shared. Processed text is retained securely and accessible only to automated enrichment services; it is never sold or exposed publicly.
3.1 Detailed Data Handling Policies
AgileKaizen’s systems access only materials that are publicly available on the open web. We review and, where appropriate, honor the guidance of robots.txt directives or equivalent access policies. Because these files are advisory and not always up to date, occasional discrepancies may occur. Our consistent intent is to respect publisher preferences and minimize technical impact on their servers. We promptly suspend indexing for any source that requests exclusion and remove affected entries from our catalogue, typically within ten business days.
All automated collection is limited to transient, non-destructive retrieval for metadata generation. If a site owner believes our systems have accessed materials contrary to their stated preferences, we invite direct notice at data@agilekaizen.com. Verified requests are acted upon promptly, and no further automated access will occur to that domain.
AgileKaizen’s systems may analyze source materials — including those accessed lawfully under valid corporate or individual subscriptions — to generate derivative insights such as summaries, highlights, and knowledge indicators. These outputs are algorithmically generated and do not reproduce or substitute the original works. When materials are restricted or subscription-based, analysis occurs only within the limits of the applicable license or subscription, and resulting outputs are limited to metadata and transformative commentary. AgileKaizen does not access or process subscription materials beyond the permissions of its own or the user’s valid license. All rights in the original publications remain with their respective publishers.
AgileKaizen’s systems may analyze source materials — including those accessed lawfully under valid corporate or individual subscriptions — to generate derivative insights such as summaries, takeaways, key points, or short attributed quotations. These outputs are algorithmically generated for educational and analytical purposes and do not reproduce or substitute the original works. All AI-assisted content remains transformative in nature, limited to metadata, commentary, or brief excerpts within fair-use or text-and-data-mining exceptions. When materials are restricted or subscription-based, analysis occurs only within the permissions of a valid license or subscription, and all rights in the original publications remain with their respective publishers.
AgileKaizen primarily indexes English-language content but also analyzes and catalogs materials in other languages when relevant to professional learning. AI models may generate summaries or metadata derived from the original language; these outputs are interpretive and not literal translations. AgileKaizen makes no claim to translate or reproduce works in other languages, and all rights remain with the original authors and publishers.
Resources are tagged according to their original language, and localized materials are shown only to users who indicate proficiency or preference for that language. We do not republish or cross-distribute content across languages. Localized access preserves the integrity and context of original works and ensures that multilingual analysis respects both linguistic and cultural boundaries.
4. Author & Publisher Rights
Authors and publishers retain full ownership of their works. Every indexed resource links directly to its canonical source, and all attribution information remains intact. AgileKaizen does not reproduce, monetize, or alter original publications; its role is to improve visibility and contextual understanding of professional content.
5. Legal Basis for Processing
Our processing is based on Legitimate Interest under Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR, the Text and Data Mining Exception established by Directive (EU) 2019/790 (Articles 3–4), and the protection provided under the EU Database Directive (96/9/EC). These provisions collectively permit the temporary analysis of publicly available materials for indexing and research purposes when no redistribution occurs and rights holders retain ownership. Outside the EU, equivalent fair-use and data-mining principles apply under applicable local laws.
6. Requests for Removal or Correction
If your content appears in our index and you wish to request removal, correction, or updated attribution, please email data@agilekaizen.com with the resource URL and details. Verified requests are processed within ten business days, and affected entries are removed or updated accordingly.
7. Liability & Disclaimer
AgileKaizen references external materials solely for indexing and research. All third-party content remains the responsibility of its respective publisher. We make no claim to ownership of such works and disclaim liability for their accuracy, availability, or continued hosting. External links are provided for context and learning purposes only.
